Problem Description:

Due to a cable work, UPC has scheduled a fiber maintenance between Basel and Bern. SWITCHlan services will be rerouted to other paths but the connection will be no longer redundant. The entire window is reserved for eventual outages.

This maintenance has ended and the link is back up. Unfortunately the protection circuits did not work as expected for BELWUE-KIT-CE, L2VPN-RKAU-INDIANAPOLIS, L2VPN-RKAU-SANTACLARA, SYNGENTA-INTERNET2 and SYNGENTA-JANET, as a result those links experienced 164 minutes of downtime. We currently believe this is related to the hardware issue we were investigating in ticket 20230418_1, apparently the hardware is more dysfunctional than we expected, it will be exchanged tomorrow. We apologize for the service interruption.
